This is the only known book with the imprint of Overton at Ipswich. There is of course considerable doubt as to how much if any of the book was actually printed in that town. It is generally said that there are two editions of this book, but as a matter of fact there are only two issues differing only in the lettering below the woodcut or the title, which in the later issue bears the imprint of Theodori- cus Planteanus of Wesel and the date of 1549. Both the issues have the Ipswich Colophon. The inserted woodcut portrait occurs in no other copy seen. It was engraved the same year as the book was printed.
