Venice, Alessandri e Cattaglia (ca. 1760) £6 10s Small folio. In the very attractive original green wrappers, gilt devices and decorations on sides, but a little rubbed. 100 pp. Engraved frontispiece with portrait, engraved title-page, engraving at end. Each page is surrounded bya fine engraved border. There are four or five types of border which are repeated throughout. A perfect example of the baroque art of the Venetian 18th century, which can hold its own in comparison with the highly valued engraved French books of the period, for which many times the price would be asked which we are asking for this Italian book.
