Chop dates, cut the almonds, beat the egg and mix all the ingredients well together, pour into a buttered basin, cover with greased paper, tie down and boil fast for two hours, keeping the water an inch below the top of the basin. 17 BreadiCrumbs7* 2. ies bist OZ. A few strips 1 Egg Milk Baking Powder ... ag ... $ teaspoonful LYLE’S GOLDEN SYRUP ... 2 tablespoonfuls (about 4 ozs.) Mix all dry ingredients, beat the egg and add this with the Syrup to the above and moisten with a little milk if necessary, beat well together and pour into small moulds (or cups) well greased— or a greased basin—and boil for one hour.
