A most spirited and curious account of Gualberto and the romantic circumstances which led him tofound the Monastery of Valembrosa will be found in Dibdin’s “Decameron” vol. I, pp. 76 to 86. He was the composer of the celebrated Ritual known by the name of the Valembrosa Missal, of which a copy, likewise PRINTED on VELLUM, will be found in the present Catalogue under the heading of Missals. In vol. 2, p. 267, of the “ Decameron,” Dibdin says: “ Bandini (the His- torian of the Junta Press) mentions a copy of it upon Vellum in his own collection.” It is probably the same Copy, having been purchased by Sir M.
