About this work

Description

This amateur film with some intertitles illustrates a tour of India visiting British Medical Association members and then places of interest along the way. There is footage of major landmarks (the Red Fort, the Taj Mahal) and people on the streets. The places visited are; Ludhaiana, Agra, Nagpur, Hyderabad (Deccan). Intertitle with Dr K. V. Nayak, Honorary Secretary, Hydrabad Branch, with Colonel MacGregor pose for the camera. The tour continues to Madras and Calcutta with various general views and a day at the races. From Calcutta, Dr J. P. Chaudhuri, Honorary Secretary, Calcutta Branch, and Brevet Colonel R. N. Chopra pose. The tour continues to Assam (Shillong) and Mariani.
