![ACETUM Opii. E. Opiiini, sliced, 5iv tr. distilled vluegar f gxvj. Triturate the opium with a little of the viuegar, add the rest, macerate 7 days, straiu, press, and filter. [Dose, 6 drops to 24; 20 drops equal to 30 of tinct. opii.] D. directs giss of coarsely powdered opium to he mace- rated for 7 days in Oj of dilute acetic acid, with occasional agitation. This is prohahly intended to he of the same streugth as tiuctura opii. Dose, 10 to 30 drops. ACETUJI EuBi Imli. p. Raspherry Vinerjar. Macerate 3 parts of the fruit wdth two parts of white viuegar for 10 d.ays, and strain without pressure. The vinegars of other fruits arc prepnred in the same manner. ACETTTM Rut-t:. E. 1711.
