![water Oiiss for twcuty-four hours. Distil 1 pint of liquid. Shake the product, filter through paper, and preserve in a stoppered bottle. The dose is from mv to inx.xx. It is more frequently prescribed in this kingdom than Aq. Amygd. Ara;ir;e, but is liable to the objection that the quantity of prussic acid it contains is variable. P. directs 1 part of fresh leaves and 4 of water; parts of the water to be drawn over; the strength of the distillate to be taken by means of a titrated sol. sulph. copper, and to be diluted with distilled water, so as to obtain Aq. Lauro- Cerasi containing 5 parts \vt. of anhydrous hydrocyanic acid in 10,000. G. directs 12 parts of leaves, 36 of water, and 1 of sp. rcct. to be distilled so as to yield 10 parts of liquid, and to be diluted if necessary so as to equal in strength Aq. Ami/ffd. Amar. Cone. Cork imme- diately; in half an hour it will be ready to drink. Laxative. Aqua Maeina Factitia. Sea Water. Common salt ^xvj, sulphate of sodagvij, chloride of calcium ^iss. chloride of magnesium gvj, iodide of potassium 9j, bromide of potas- sium 9ss, water 4 gallons. The salts arc to be in crystals.
