About this work

Description

A recording of a lecture given by Professor Roy Porter at the Westminster Hospital in 1990. The lecture was part of a series given to students taking the Society of Apothecaries' Diploma in the History of Medicine. The subject is 'quackery' in medicine, and how since the 16th century, a code of ethics for physicians becomes increasingly important.
