About this work

Description

This film shows a thyroidectomy operation for the removal of a cyst on a woman. The wound is sewn up using black silk threat and then secured using staple-like clips. Then, this is swabbed with iodine. The clips are gradually removed and then the patient is shown over the course of several weeks; the wound scar is scarely visible.
