Take of diftilled Vinegar fb, ii. {. the flesm of Allum f6. i.€. calx of Egpthels $. vi. diftill all-til] itbe dry: Take of this water fb. it. of Mercury precipitate as before ib. i. mingle all well according to art, diftillit by a Limbeck, pouring the wa- ter again untothe feces three times ; laft of all, drive all out untilit/be dry,and there will remain a powder in the bottom, which grinde upon a Marble,. and put it into a Limbeck, pou- ting on'the water aforefaid, which you fhall three times diftill from the feces as before : Laftly, the Mercury precipitate muft be circulated with an alcool of Wine 24. houres: then diftilf away the {pirit of Wine that the matter may dry , then pour on new again, and circulate and diftillit as before, and that doe four or five times, and then you have attained the perfect preparation of Mercury, whofequalities cannot be fufficiently commended in curing of fundry difeafes, efpeciaily of the Pox, whether it be. taken by the mouth, or applyedto the place wreived. ©. : x Make Amalgama with 3. iii. of Mercury crude, and 21, of the beft Linne.;. {pread thisupon a plate of iron,and ferit in a morft place,and all will diffolve into oyle,itis alfo made with Mercury alone, and a plate of Tinne.
