But if you circulate this Chriftaline falt-in a Pellican, with the alcool] of Wine fifteen dayes, and after take away the menftrew by-diftillation, and - put to new Wineand circulate it, putting to a fit dofe of chri- ftaline falt of Tartar,you fhall makea Balm fweeter then Sugar, which will marvelloufly prevail againft all maligne Ulcers and difeafes of the eyes. Deco@ Antimony made in powder, with a capitall Lie pre- prepared of Tartar calcined, and Sope afhes, and quick Lime, the {pace of one hour, then letit cool, pouring uponit alittle Vinegar, and there will appear a certain redneffe {wimming upon it, which you fhall gather ; then again let it boil for one hour or two, again let it cool,and gather that which fwimmeth up; doe this fo often, uutilthere appear no more redneffe ; for it is the Sulphur of Antimony,which dried at a foft fire,you fhall keep it to good ufes. Mingle Antimony with Sugar and Allum, and put all into a Retort of glaffe , make.a foft fire for four or five lioures, afterward increafe it, and there will come out an Oyle red like bloud: it isalfo done with Mercury fublimate, but great heed is to be taken, left any errour be committed in the degree of fire. : ; Boi! Sulphur prepared with oyle-of Linfeed, with a very foft fire,and it will be like bloud- congealed: Letthe matter cool, putit into aRetort, and giveit fire, and there will diftil outa very red oyle of Sulphur : Iris alfo done, if you mingle Bran with your Sulphur and difti it.
