Biographical note

The author was a distinguished ophthalmologist and was elected F.R.C.S. in 1893. He was consulting surgeon to the Royal London Ophthalmic Hospital, and President of the Ophthalmological Society in 1920. For obituary see the Lancet, 1933, i, pp. 831- 832.
