Oliver, Joseph (fl. 1810)

Collection of short religious homilies, notes on English voyagers, geography, astronomy and astrology, etc. Compiler's holograph MS. Illustrated with a pen-drawing of a 'Plantain tree', 6 astronomical figures, and two rough outlines of an 'Astrological Man'. On the verso of the last leaf of No. 7 is a note by another hand: 'First part of this MS. was first wrote by Joseph Oliver, Clark of Flash Church Staffordshire. Baught at Chester June 25th and 26th 1851 by MB and [?] JO.'
