A fecond had Shankers in Pene, which eat away the Franum, and almof thro' into the Urinary PalTage; he had, feveral times before, been (lightly cured c virulent Gonorrheas, and upon that Account fufpebted he felt rheumatic Pain: in his Limbs. He took a few gentle Cathartics, and was afterwards anointed ai proper Intervals,, till about fix Drams of Mercury were confumed. It only occa- fion’d a little Numbnefs in his Gums, and a fetid Breath, without the leaf Salivation; and tho a proper Regimen was not obferved, he grew perfe&ly wel in lefs than a Month. 3. Many, we have feen, who being advifed by Phyficians, to falivate for Bu- bos and other common venereal Symptoms, have, fome of them, been cured b} this Method of UnBion; and others by a continued, internal Ufe of Calomel, cun Camphori> &c. without, occafioning fo much as any Sorenefs of the Mouth 01 Gums.
