This charming spot, a real oasis in the desert, ap, propriated to the working classes of Manchester, and imi^ mediately contiguous to the houses in Bradford, cannot m too carefully guarded from the establishment of offensiv^' trades or other nuisances in its neighbourhood. | After careful consideration of all the circumstances thati came under my notice, either from the evidence brough before me on my inquiry, or from my own personal obsery tion of the district, I have the honour of submitting t following recommendations. Recommendations. I. That the Public Health Act be forthwith applied, ^ Order in Council, to the township of Bradford, in t parish of Manchester, in the county palatine of Lancaster.l II. That the Local Board to be elected under the saiji Act consist of nine members. _ ■ ; III. That the qualification of members for the said Local Board be the possession of property real or personal, Qjt both, to the value of 300L, or rating to the rehef of the poox upon an annual value of not less than lU. : IV. That in accordance with the wish of the meetiD|D at the prebminary inquiry to which this report relatew Messrs. Richard Johnson, Iron Manufacturer, and Joto Crook, Manufacturing Chemist, be the persons appomted t conduct the first election of the said Local Board. .. I have the honour to be.
