At other times, a dry fliort cough has appeared for feveral days previous to the commencement of the dif- eafe, and has continued to add much to the diifrefs of the patient during its progrefs. It has been remarked, that the fymptoms now and then intermit*, and that, in the interval of the paroxyfm, the breathing is free and undiffurbed : But in all the ftrongly marked cafes of Croup, which I have ob- ferved, there appeared little variation in this refpedt.
