![The following are the particulars of the samples not genuine :— Nos. 1 and 2. Both these samples of milk were pur¬ chased from the same vendor and at the same time, but from different cans in the cart. No. 1 contained 15*53 per cent, of added water, and was deficient in fat to the extent of 10 per cent. No. 2 contained 15*88 per cent, of added water, and wasi deficient in fat to the extent of 9 per cent. The vendor carried in his milk cart a can containing]; water, which he alleged was for the purpose of supplying: his horse. T1 le vendor was summoned before the Magistrates and O fined £5 in each case. Nos. 5, 6 and 7 were purchased from one vendor and at the same time, but from different cans. No. 5 contained 42*35 per cent, of added water* and was: deficient in fat to the extent of 30 per cent. No. 6 contained 42 per cent, of added water, and was deficient in fat to the extent of 37 per cent.
