![The fifth ease was a child of two years of age, and was dead when notified. The child was only ill a few days with a sudden onset and a history of paralysis of the limbs, pointing more to poliomyelitis. Died March 22... ... Female ... .... 33 ... .... Died „ 22... ... Male .... 2 .. ... Died SMALL POX. No cases were notified in the Borough during the year. Contacts of cases occurring on board ships, which were notified by the Port Authorities, were all visited and kept under observation until the expiration of the incubation period. Only a small proportion of the infants born in the Borough undergo vaccination. O D CEREBRO SPINAL FEVER, An informal notification of a case of this disease was received. The child was removed to hospital, and the necessary disinfection carried out. The symptoms subse¬ quently pointed almost certainly to the disease being of a tubercular nature. Not only did the cerebral symptoms point to this disease but abdominal tubercular disease was also present. ENTERIC FEVER. Only five cases were notified during the year, and all terminated fatally.
