In anticipation of the erection of further houses neccssary to remedy the overcrowding occurring in some premises, the Council is acquiring three plots of land, viz: —Eastbrook Farm, Rabbit Field and the Railway Pond Field, a total of about 40 acres. Development of L.C.C. Estate. The following table shews the growth of that portion of the Becontree estate in Dagenham, the figures given being those houses erected in each year up to December 31st.
