Dean Uicolson, one of the House Visitors, has died since |1 last Annual Meeting, and the Directors record the loss they 7]ihave sustained by his death with deep regret. Elected a !i Director in 1874, and a House Visitor in 1877, he took a warm >} interest in the welfare of the Institution. The Medical Superintendent’s Report shews that on 18th June last there were 297 patients in the Asylum—127 males, CU70 females; while there are at present 327, that number being made up of 139 males and 188 females, 147 having been {■admitted during the year, 49 having recovered, 32 having died, ' 1 having escaped, 21 having been removed to the Lunatic ffWards of Poor houses, 5 to other Asylums, 6 by friends, 2 by i (Minute of Parochial Boards, and 1 transferred to Edinburgh i Prison.
