Of this kind of convulfive epidemicks may be reckoned that which afflifted the female inhabitants in the (hire of Angus in Scotland, about the year 1763 or 1764, above-mentioned. A like nervous diflemper appears to have vifited various parts of Germany about the \ year 1717.* The famous epidemick of Sweden,| afcribed by LiNNiEus to eating charlock, may pof- fibly be in fome degree propagated in like manner. 3. Fevers, accompanied with violent convulfions, fometimes become epidemical, and both diftempers may noffibly be propagated by contagion.
