    86 CLINICS. Early in the year an additional session was commenced at the Hale End Centre owing to the increased attendances. Draft plans have been prepared for new clinics in both the Hale End and Higham Hill areas. Dr. Sheppard reports as follows:— There are seven welfare sessions held each week, five doctor's and two weighing sessions. The average attendance is 96 per session for babies and 19 for toddlers. There are no separate toddlers clinics in Walthamstow as it has been found that the mothers prefer to attend the ordinary welfares with their older ohildren. They have contracted the excellent habit of devoting one afternoon at regular intervals to the welfare, and they continue this practice until their child is five years old. From the number of toddlers on our register it can be seen that this is a very successful arrangement. The voluntary workers have continued to give faithful service during the year. The Ante-Natal Clinic during >1937 continued as usual. The number of Ante-Natal cases who attended during the year was 264, making 830 attendances, and the number of Post Natal cases was 21, making 36 attendances. Ante-Natal and Post-Natal Services.
