Ammonii Chloridi, gr. Aquam Chloroformi, ad 3 i. For rapidly sterilizing the moutfi before operations. 12. R Tr. myrrhae, 3 ss., Soclii biboratis, 3 ii. Aquam, ad § xii. For use frequently as a mouth-wash in acute stomatitis. 13. R Papaveris Capsulse, vi. To be placed in a quart of water and simmered down to one pint, strained and then used as a mouth-wash as hot as possible. This should be undertaken by the patient. For use in pain after extraction. 14. R Liquoris Potassse, 3 b Acidi Carbolici, 3 i. Glycerini, 3 ii. Aquam, ad § i. For use after extractions or in suppurative conditions of the mouth, 3 i, in § vi of hot water. 15. R Acidi Tannici, gr. 8. Sodii Biboratis, 3 i. Glycerini, 3 ii. Aquam, ad 3 i. Astringent mouth-wash. Useful in cases of ‘ spongy * gums.
