Mifs Rolt had the Meafles fometime before, and Serjeant Amyand, fays, by all Ac¬ counts Jhe had a bad Habit of Body ; he had then the greater Reafon to call in the Affiftance of a Phylician, but this he oppos’d : I wonder where all thefe Accounts came from, fince Mrs. Rolt, the Doctors and Apothecary inform us of the contrary. A Third was fubjett to Humours. A Fourth was Leprous, (why did they then Inoculate fuch a Habit of Body ? ) A Fifth had a Worm-Fever. A Sixth was breeding her Teeth. But above all one died fuddenly, (therefore I fuppofe fhe could not die of the Small-Fox.) In fhort, there is not one- that has died under thefe fevere Trials, but what they find, fome Caufe or other of Death, exclulive of the Diftemper. It is zsoonderful, into what Abfurdities, Zeal for an Opinion, will drive a Man, but fure it mult be a wretched Caufe, when it’s Advocates are forc’d to fuch pitiful Shifts to fupport it: This makes good what Shakefpear obferves, viz.
