(iv)The arrangement made in 1959 with Mr. Glasson,Hayle,for the removal of condemned meat and offals from the slaughter¬ houses for disposal at a glue factory broke down in mid- 1960, and for the remainder of the year these materials were removed on alternate days by Messrs. Haynes for treatment at their premises at Cuiy Gross Lanes, Helston. Other unsound food in small quantities wras disposed of by burial at the Council’s controlled tip. (c) Ice Cream (Heat Treatment) Regulations.1959. Routine sampling of ice cream was carried out fortnightly during the summer months, particular attention being paid to the products of the five local manufacturers. Some changes took place in the supply position as reported for 1959. The T.T. supply from Trannack Mill Farm, Sancreed, was discontinued, and the West Cornwall Milk Co. Ltd., Hayle, ceased to supply milk to the Borough. Except for a little milk produced at Kestle Wartha Farm, Manaccan, and supplied from a milk vending machine which came into operation in July, all the milk retailed in the area was pasteurised and was supplied by Primrose Dairy Ltd.St. Erth, and Penryn Co-operative Society Ltd.
