After practising as a printer for some years he was admitted a student of Lincoln’s Inn in 1532, and gradually rose in his profession until, in 1558, he was made a Justice of the Queen’s Bench. He died in Louvain on 27th August, 1565. (4) . Thomas Cromwell, made Chancellor of the Exchequer 1533; Master of the Rolls 1534; Vicar-General 1535; Earl of Essex 1540, and beheaded the same year.
