![SECONDARY SCHOOLS. The children atlendiny the Secondary Scliools (the Municipal Secondary School and the Junior Technical School)'were inspected for the first time in 1920. Durini^' the year under review every child in each school has been medically inspected. 1 he total number inspected was 49o (a decrease of 7 on the previous year). All the children in these schools are inspected annuall}'. Interference with the school routine was, as far as possible, avoided. The Head Masters of the two schools very kindly placed their rooms at my disposal, and I desire to express my thanks to them and to the other members of the staff for their interest in the work of Medical Inspection and for their valuable assistance. FINDINGS OF MEDICAL INSPECTION. Uncleanliness.—The standard of cleaniness in the Secondary School still continues to be high, only 12 children out of the 493 inspected being found to require attention in this respect. .Seven of these were cases of neglected heads and five of uncleanliness of body and clothing. Minor Ailments are referred to under their respective headings. Tonsils and Adenoids.—Eighteen children were found to have enlarged tonsils.
