The report of the trials for the Overbury murder, with the exception of those of the Earl and Coun- tess of Somerset, correspond verbatim with the reports of these trials published in the tract Truth brought to Light by Time. The dress of Sir Ger- vase Helwysse at his execution, it is believed, is the only circumstance in the tract which has not been copied in the State Trials. The tract does not in- clude the trials of the Earl and Countess of Somer- set, and it is not apparent from what source Hargrave and Howell obtained them.
