Child of the Moon,” one of the HyKsos Kina MAA-AB-RA, another a DECORATIVE SCARAB OF ‘| HOTHMES II] (these last two illustrated in Newberry’s “Scarabs,” Plate Xx\, 2, and XXVIII, 16) 12 ‘Twenty-five Scarabs, Cowroids and Plaques, one in sky blue glaze, bearing the prenomen of Thothmes III, with the addition ‘‘ Mer- i-Ra, 7.e. beloved of Ra,” on the reverse the name of Amen-Ra and two wine jars, one of the cowroids in lapis, one of the scarabs ts a decorative scarab of the XII to X VIIT Dynasties (illustrated in Newberry’s ‘ Scarabs,” Plate xx, 12) 25 Sixteen others, some inscribed with royal names 16 Eleven others, mostly in steatite, many inscribed with Royal and private names, and one in dark carnelian, uninseribed HZ A STEATITE SCARAB, OF RARE, PROBABLY UNIQUE FORM, the beetle heing raised upon four columns, apparently of the Hyksos period ; ANOTHER, IN BRILLIANT BLUE GLAZE; another of Amenhetep LEE in lapis; and asteatite Scarab of high finish, with full and clearly cut inscription, a very desirable lot 4, Twelve miscellaneous Scarabs, all but one inscribed, the uninseribed specimen in very beautiful turquoise blue 12 Fifteen miscellaneous steatite and faience Searabs, one inscribed with the prenomen of Seti I], User-Kheper-Ra-setep-en-Ra, B.C. 1200; another, with full titles of Thothmes III—“‘the good god, lord of the two lands, Men-Kheper-Ra, giving life for ever”; and an ininscribed Searab, in amethyst 16 Ten Scarabs in steatite and carnelian, including one with pre-nomen of Amen-hetep III (p.c. 1450); another of Thothmes III, re- lating to the dedication of two obelisks near or in the house of Amen-Ra; and another with a dedication to Horus 10](https://iiif.wellcomecollection.org/image/b31650193_0029.jp2/full/800%2C/0/default.jpg)
