    302 <A seated Statuette of Neith, the Weaver Goddess, the characteristic Tesher crown being surmounted by double urei, 44 7n. high, the goddess is seated on a bronze throne, engraved with hieroglyphs, rare [PI. VI]; aud a seated Harpocrates, 8 in. high, with gold and enamel eyes and inscribed base 2 303 A standing Figure of Menthu-Ra, personifying the destructive heat of the sun, and the seat of whose worship was Hermonthis in the Thebaid, 33 7%n. high; a standing Figure of Bast, complete, with sistrum, egis and basket, 22 7. high; a seated Amen-Ra, with high feather crown, 237m. high; and an Osiris, 44 in. high; all in bronze 4 304 A standing Figure of the Apis Bull, a good model, 32 in. long: a ‘ large Ibis Head, 37n. from tip of beak to back of neck; a bronze Hawk, crowned with ‘lesher diadem, 14 7m. long, engraved with collar and other ornaments; a crowned Ureus, 24 in. high; and an Ant-eater, 1¢in. long 5 305 A BRonzu Car, 4h 7n. high, a good model ; a bronze Ibis, on step plinth of the same material, 34 7m. high; and an Apis Bull, 247n. long 3 306 A BRONZE SQUATTING FIGURE OF AN APR, with scale covering, 2¢ in. high; a small bronze Cat, 14 in. high; a Hawk, 2in. high, with (?) worshipper, an unusual piece; three miniature Figures of the Apis Bull, united to form one Amulet; and a Figure of the same Animal, 2 1n. long 5 307 A bronze Isis, with the infant Horus, as a group, 6 zn. high : a seated Figure of Harpocrates, inscribed at the base, 64 in. high ; and a bronze Osiris, 44 in. high 3 308 A PRIMITIVE EGYPTIAN FIGURE OF A GODDESS OR GOD, PERHAPS KHOoNsuU, 64 in. high, the deity wears the horns and solar disk, surmounted by the crescent,-.and the peculiar modelling throughout suggests a Syrian or South Egyptian source ; aseated Harpocrates, dt in. high; a bronze Bast, with egis, 4 in. high; a Ptah, 24 in. high; and a Triad of Osiris, Isis and Horus, 137n. high 5 309 A kneeling Figure of Psemthek I (8.0. 666-612), 34 in. hegh, both hands missing ; this important bronze bears the cartouche of the king on both arms, and ENGRAVED ON HIS BACK ARE FIGURES OF OSIRIS AND ISIS; though cartouches on the arms of Hgyptian kings are not unknown, the engraving of figures of deities on the bodies of offerers is most unusual, indeed we can find no record of a specimen of this kind in any collection, XX VJ Dynasty [{Pl.
