![AN ACT For transferring University College London to the University of London and for other hatters con- nected THEREWITH AND FOR AMENDING THE UNIVERSITY OF London Act 1898. [Ro'xal Assent IIth July 1905.] WHEREAS the Council of University Colleg'e, London with the consent of the members of the College have agreed with the University of London that the College and the property and trust funds of the College except such as belong to or are held in trust for North London or University College Hospital and the school of advanced medical studies connected therewith and the boys' school carried on by the College or any of them shall be transferred to the University with the intent that the College may be continued under the direct control of the University as a place of teaching and research in which wide academic culture may be secured by the variety of the subjects taught in different faculties including pre- liminary and intermediate medical studies : And whereas it is expedient that this agreement should be carried into effect and that provision should be made for carrying on the work of the said hospital and school of advanced medical studies ; And whereas it is expedient that provision should be made for carrying on the work of the said boys’ school: And whereas it is expedient to make certain consequential amendments in the University of London Act 1898 and to remove certain doubts as to the constitution of committees of the Senate of the University and as to the power of the Senate to apply trust funds and the income thereof towards the costs of administering those funds : And whereas the purposes aforesaid cannot be effected without the authority of Parliament: MAY IT THEREFORE PLEASE YOUR MAJESTY That it may be enacted and be it enacted by the King’s most excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons in this present Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows : 1. This act may be cited as the University College London (Transfer) Act 1905. 2.
