Genesis—Psalms only, ruled throughout in red and interleaved, wants title and most preliminary leaves, in a contemporary binding of purple velvet embroidered in silver thread and silks, on each cover is an achievement of arms in relief with crest, a Moor’s head, and mantling, the shield missing from top cover, that on lower cover bearing paly of sia, argent and azure, a canton (0 af the first) and the motto Preepono Aiterna Caducis, the whole within a broad border of conventional foliage, the ground dotted with sequins (mostly missing), panelled back with similar embroidered ornamentation, remains of silk ties, the raised portions of the binding and corners much worn, Marly X VI Cent.; and another ; sold as bindings not subject to return — (2) 1060 Curtius (Q.) De rebus gestis Alexandri magni, roman letter, 68 /1., 44 lines to the page, printer’s device on last leaf, capitals supplied in blue and red, first two leaves loose and discoloured, B. De Asino Aureo, roman letter, 190 ZL, 38 lines to a page, wants shect a (table, etc. 18 Ul.), a8 and last leaf (Vblank), printer’s device at end, capitals supp.ied in red, leaf containing Register loose and discoloured, notes on some margins in an old hand, margin of b 5 defective, Vicenza, H. de Sancto Urso, 9 Aug. 1488; bound together in rough calf, defective, with the Wodhull arms in gilt on top cover 1061 Shakespeare (W.)
