    Milk is a valuable Food indeed!—this re¬ quires little or no Labour from the Stomach; it has already pafTed through the moft elaborate Proceffes, fo as to render it a kind and whole- feme Nourifliment. This Caution, however, is neceflafy—eat Milk with acid Fruits— Reafon tells us it is wrong, though Cuftom has made it a-general Rule. Codlings and Milk or Cream, Strawberries, Rafberries, &c. 1 am convinced are highly improper to be eaten together; for mixing thefe acid Fruits with the Milk, is the moft likely Method to make it curdle too haftily in the Stomach; of which every one who will give himfelf Time to think muft be convinced. Almoft all the Kitchen Preparations of Milk are wholefome,'* fuch as Cuftards, White Pots, Blamange,* &c. Much indeed might be faid upon this Head; but as it is treated at large in my Letters to Married Women, I fhall beg L^^ve to refer my Readers to them, efpecially thofe who are defirous of knowing the Nature and Properties of Milk, and of underftanding its fuperior Excellence. It is a Nutriment the mofl: fimple, yet the moft perfedl. It requires little Labour from the Digeftive Faculties, yet fully pofteftes every Principle of Nourifliment, to give Strength to Infants, and Health to the infirm.
