' I ‘; Is commonly ufed for burns, cuts, fcalds, bruifes, chilblains, and other little complaints where the /kin is worn off, and is fo well known I need not be more particular. VALERIAN ROOT. I s of late years come into great efteem in all nervous diforders; of the bruifed root they make a tea in the fame manner as fena tea] and drink it three or four times a day, which is a proper thin? to take the nervous tinfture in, being of itfelf I am afraid not effec¬ tual, as the quantity of the root given in this manner, or in the tincture prepared from it, is too trifling to have any great depend¬ ence upon. r A. VALERIAN ROOT in POWDER. If you intend to reap benefit from it, you mull take it in prettv arge quantities It is ufually given from half a dram to one dram, in a little liquor of any kind, and Ihould be repeated once in ix or eight hours.
