![ANNIVERSARY FESTIVAL At The Royal Albert Asylum, Sept. 26th, 190], -: o :- The GENERAL ANNUAL MEETING of the Subscribers to the ROYAL ALBERT Asylum was held in the De Vitre Hall of the Institution, on Thursday, September 26th, 1901: THE RIGHT HON. SIR JOHN T. HIBBERT, K.C.B., (Chairman of the Central Committee), PRESIDING. The Proceedings having been opened with prayer by the Rev, Canon Bonsey (Vicar of Lancaster), the Report of the Central Committee was presented by the Principal and Secretary (Mr. James Diggens), and the Chairman addressed the Meeting. The following RESOLUTIONS were unanimously passed:— 1. —That this Meeting approves and adopts the Report now presented ; and recognising, with much gratification, the numerous proofs of the progress, development, and efficiency of the beneficent work of the Royal Albert Asylum, this Meeting heartily commends the Asylum to the increased sympathy and support of the philanthropic public of the Seven Associated Counties. Moved by the Countess of Bective (President of the Westmorland Ladies’ Association) ; seconded by the Right Rev. the Lord Bishop of Carlisle. 2. —That the thanks of this Meeting be given to the Lancaster Members of the Central Committee for their able, zealous and valuable services ; and, in compliance with Rule 24, this Meeting hereby appoints the Right Hon. Sir John T. Hibbert, K.C.B., and the following Gentlemen to be Members of the Central Committee for the ensuing year Edward Storey, Esq. Samuel J. Harris, Esq. Abram Seward, Esq. Albert Greg, Esq. Norval W. Helme, Esq., M.P, HerbertL.Storey,Esq. Rev. Canon Bonsey. Colonel Marton. James W.Wearing, Esq. Edward B. Dawson, Esq. William O. Roper, Esq. William G. Welch,Esq. Thomas Gibson, Esq. Welch, for their Audit of the Accounts of the Royal Albert Asylum, and for their inspection of the Securities held on the Sustentation Fund Account and the Deeds of the Estate ; and this Meeting, in compliance with Rule 34, hereby appoints Jas. Williamson Wearing, Esq., as Honorary Auditor, and Mr. Alfred B. S. Welch, as professional Auditor, for the ensuing year. Moved by Herbert L. Storey, Esq., Lancaster ; seconded by Dr. German, Liverpool. 4. —That, circumstances permitting, the next General Annual Meeting of the Royal Albert Asylum be held at Huddersfield, on Wednesday, September 24th, 1902 ; and that notice thereof be given in the Huddersfield, Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, York, Sheffield, Lancaster, Manchester, Liverpool, Rochdale, Chester, Kendal, Carlisle, Durham, and Newcastle Newspapers. Moved by Colonel Foster (Hornby Castle, Lancaster), Vice-Chairman of the Central Committee; seconded by W. W. Wingate-Saul, Esq., M.D., Lancaster.
