    CHAPTER II. THE SO-CALLED BONE-SETTING OF THE EAELY SEVENTIES. Thirty years have now gone by since the publication of the volume on Bone-setting referred to in the preceding chapter ; and, as that volume may be taken to represent the starting point of my subsequent experience in dealing with recent injuries, it seems desirable to set forth a brief summary of its contents by way of introduction to the record of that experience itself.
