He declares his allegiance to his best and most injured King and his affection towards Louis XV, to whom he commends his family AUTOGRAPH LETTERS, etc. A very large collection of modern Literary, Medical, Naval, Military, Art, Dramatic, Legal, etc., including many valuable and interesting items ; all neatly mounted, classified and alphabetically arranged, in 14 albums, 4to, half bound Brsant (Sir Walter) A collection of upwards of 100 letters, mostly addressed to Mr. Chatto and referring to his Survey of London, with others of modern authors, ete. a large parcel. NicHoutts (Norton) Intimate friend of Thomas Gray. A very interesting series of 27 autograph letters, mostly signed initials “‘ N. N.’’, addressed to the Revd. William J. Temple, friend of Gray and Boswell, 1760-1795. They contain many charming references to Gray and many strong criticisms of Dr. Johnson, with a large correspondence between Temple and his wife ; mounted in two 4to albums, half bound BrovucuamM (Henry Peter, Lord Chancellor) An interesting series of Auto. MSS. of legal articles, which he contributed to “The Law Magazine,” some twelve in all, covering upwards of 65 pp. 4to, with 35 A. L. s. to F.
