Aside from this measurement, in the case of cranial disease, the following distancesare to be measured : The bitemporal from one external ear to the other; the fronto-occipital diameter from the glabella to the occipital protuberance; the biparietal, from one parietal protuberance to the other. The circumference of the ehest is taken midway between inspiration and expiration while the arms arc held in a horizontal position.
