![Maternal Mortality. No maternal Deaths occurred in the County during the year 1942. Maternity and Child Welfare. Midwives Act, >936. The scheme is working satisfactorily. The District Nursing Associations are anxious to help and co-operate with the County Health Department in the work. Hospital Provision for Mothers and Chiktren. Two beds aro reserved in the Maternity Ward of tho Llandrindod Wells Hospital for the treatment of complicated midwifery cases, or cases in which the home condrtions ar unsatisfactory. Knighton Public Assistance Institution has a well equipped maternity ward. During the year 34 cases (18 for the Urban A reas and 16 from the Rural Areas) were admitted to tho Llandrindod Wells Hospital.
