All I have now to add is, that you will ful¬ fil yourpromife and methodize thofe papers for me. I care not how many objections are made by a good philofopher, becaufe if I fhould not be able to anfwer them, I fhall perhaps gain fomewhat from them that may contribute to improve my hypothefis, and which I fhould not have thought on had there been no objection made. In the detail of this account there are a few things I have omitted, particularly the finding that the eleCtric fhock in the Leyden experiment was always proportional to the points of non eleCtric contaCt on the in and outfide of the phial. But this and other experiments, however remarkable in themfelves, not being connected with my general fyftem, are therefore not of moment enough at this time to merit your attention* I have omitted the references to fave myfelf trouble, but if you delire them they fhall befentyou*.
