The form of this 1 Hand is eafily conceived by fig. 3, it being plane at the bottom, turns up in a kind of convexity % z towards it’s edge, and has a round moulding 00, which hinders its tumbling, when moderately pufhed fideways. » The PROCESS, with the double glass- Machine, 14. The two middle veffels B and G (fig. 1. and 2.), are to be filled with pure water, and put on the Hands K and F, with their upper ones C and H, as in the figure. The mixture of oil of vitriol, water, and powdered chalk, or rather marble, mull be done in the fame manner, as was faid in No. 9 : and finally the veffels B and C are to be put on the veffel A, as was faid No. 10. and following.
