The names of both authors are unknown; but the time of the second is fairly defined by his dedication of this work to Sultan ‘Abdallah Kutb Shah (of Goleondah, who reigned from a.H. 1020 to 1082); while the first mentions in a passage quoted on fol. 3v., that his last Shaikh was Mirzi Muhammad Astarabadi, whose lectures he attended between 4.4. 1015 and 1020, at Makkah.
