    a Book of Articles, ftatlng their feveral Claims; and, a Committee being appointed to take the Matters into conlideration *, fome Communications were'had: But, the Parties coming to no Determination, the Common Council, at another Court, 20 March, 20 H en. VIII, Avere pleafed to or- der that Bills IhoLild be fent to every Parilh- Charch, ihowing how many Offering-Days there, were, and what the Inhabitants thould offer. They likewife made out a Lift of the Day.s, which They reduced to 82 ; fubjoin- ing what each PerfoVs Compofition would amount to yearly : viz. On Rents of I Os. 20d. I; of 20s, 3s. 5d ; and fo afcending from 10s. to 10s. As to thofe who inha- bited Iloufes under 10s. Rent, they were to offer yearly for their four Offering-Days 2d. only, and to be no further charged but upon their Devotion vj-. To this A61 of Common Council was added however a Pro- teftation that there was no Intention to de- fraud the Clergy of what was due to them, tand that, if they could lawfully prove their Right to receive other wife than' was fpecified, Book O.
