    31. The total Imperial sanitary grants, non-recurring and recurring, amounted 9 .. , tolls. 7,96,000 from 1911-12 to 1911-15 and grants made from these heads amounted to Rs. 7,28,000. The following statement shows the distribution of the Imperial grant for sanita* tion during the financial year 1911-15 :— Water-supply— 1. Grant made to Sylhet Municipality for the improvement of its water-supply. 1 2. Grant made to Tezpur Municipality for the improvement of its water-supply. 8. Transferred to the Public Works Department budget for the improvement of water-supply at Cherrapunji in the lvhasi and Jaintia Hills district. 4. Grant made to Nazira Union for the improvement of its water- supply. 5. Additional grant made to the Golaghat Union for the improvement of its water-supply. 6. Additional grant made to the Dhubri Municipality for the improve¬ ment of its water-supply. 7. Additional grant made to the Silchar Municipality for the improve¬ ment of its water-supply. 8. For the improvement of water-supply in Jowai in the district of Khasi and Jaintia Hills. 9. Grant made to the Political Officer, Sadiya, for the improvement of water-supply of Sadiya. Drainage— 10. Grant male to the Golaghat Union for the improvement of its surface drainage. 11. Transferred to the Public Works Department budget for the con¬ struction of a regulating sluice in connection with the drainage scheme of the town of Nowgong. 12. Grant made to the Shillong Municipality for the construction of a pucca drain near the “ hotel.'” Conservancy— , 13. Grant made to the Sylhet Municipality for the re-organization of its conservancy system. 14. Grant made to the Dibrugarh Municipality for the re-organization of its conservancy system. 15. Grant made to the Subdivisional Officer, North Cachar Hills, for the construction of a public latrine at Haflong*. 16.
