A small group of receipts ('quittances') signed by French physicians, 1581-1768.
1. Receipt by Pierre Le Feure, 'medecin ordinaire du Roy', for 150 écus gifted to him by the king, addressed to Pierre Mollan, 'tresorier de l'espargne'. 31 December 1581. Signed and endorsed by Le Feure.
2. Receipt by [Claude-Antoine] Renard, 'docteur ... de la faculté de medecine de Paris', for 1540 livres for attendance on the comtesse d'Orval and members of her household from the death of the comte d'Orval on 23 January 1737 till June 1744. [1744]. Signed by Renard.
3. Receipt by [Pierre Barthelemot] Sorbier for 120 livres for attendance on the marquis de Ligny duing his last illness. Paris, 29 March 1768. Signed by Sorbier.
