Fig. 6 represents her appearance 5 weeks after the operation, and up to the present date, March 21, she continues as well as at that period—the relief afforded is therefore as per¬ manent as it is decided. Case III. About the 1st of January, 1842,1 was requested Fig. 7. to attend Charles McAllister, aged nine years, for a deformity of the mouth and throat, produced by a burn. As is generally the case, the injury was the result of his clothes hav¬ ing accidentally taken fire,and he had suffered from its inconvenien¬ ces for several years.
