Early in February, bacillus coli (presumptive) was reported to be present in 50 mis. of water and turbidity indicated that the mains required thorough flushing. From that time and through the year the water continued to Mo of satisfactory bacterial quality for public supply. The Conduit Supply which was found to be unsatisfactory in February owing to pollution at the source, was cut off, but later in the year was reinstated when further examinations showed a distinct improvement This improvement was not maintained however, and the supply was discontinued.
