    TOTAL OF ATTENDANCES This amounted to 10,970, an increase of 746. Over the years improvements in management and drug therapy, and the decline of syphilis, have permitted a great reduction in 'follow-up' visits, nonetheless the total of attendances cannot be held down much longer against the semmingly relentless annual increase of new cases.
