    12. Extensions. Since our last report great progress has been made in our Extension Scheme. Complete plans have been drawn up and approved for the full scheme required. A contract has been signed for the major portion of the scheme, work on which is starting immediately. The remainder of the scheme will be completed as soon as subscriptions to cover its cost come to hand. An Appeal was launched early in the year and an Appeal Office opened at the Mansion House, Truro, under Mr. Charles E. Lloyd, the Honorary Organiser. Many generous contribu¬ tions have already been received, but a minimum of ^65,000 is required before the scheme can be completed, and so far only a fraction of this has been received. There is no sinale oart of the scheme which is not urgently needed to meet the calls on us ; but building cannot be done without money, and we would urge the public to give even more generously. 13. Library. There are about 1,000 books in the library ; the Committee consists of eight members, and two of these take the books around to all the wards every Friday. During 1936 250 books have been presented to the library ; surplus books are given to the Bodrean Unemployment Home and the Isolation Hospital. The Committee are grateful to Mrs. Middleton and her helpers for their assistance. The library is much appreciated by the patients. 14. Honorary Medical staff. Your Committee wish again to record their thanks to the Honorary Medical Staff for their valuable services. 15. Thanks. Your Committee desire to express their sincere thanks :— 1. To the subscribers, to personal donors, to all Societies, Institutes, whose gifts appear in the Report, with special reference to the Organisers of Alexandra Day and Hospital Sunday Collections. 2. To the givers of gifts in kind, especially to the Members of Toe H, who collected 8,946 eggs for the Hospital. 3. To the Clergy, Churchwardens and congregations of many Churches who have made collections for the Hospital. 4. To the Members of the St. John’s Ambulance Brigade.
