Description

Advertising card for Rumford Chemical Works' Horsford's Acid Phosphate, prepared to the directions of Prof. E.N. Horsford of Cambridge, Mass. for dyspepsia, headache, night sweats of consumption, exhaustion, nervousness and hysteria and "a useful agent to employ in cholera". The front shows an old man in a brown jacket and blue trousers sitting in a chair playing an accordion. A little girl in a pink frock and striped stockings, with blonde, curly hair under a white cap is dancing in front of him, holding her skirts in her hands. The background is a cream colour.
